Cupping
Cupping is the application of a special cup to the skin to create a vacuum, gently pulling up the skin and connective tissue (fascia). It is a popular technique used to relieve pain, decrease muscle tension and promote circulation.
Cupping is a relaxing treatment that can feel like a deep tissue massage, but in reverse. Cups are commonly placed along the neck, shoulders, back, and legs.
A cupping session can leave temporary red or purple marks which last 2-5 days. The darker the marks, the more blood stagnation - a result of tense, overworked and fatigued muscles.
